The 'Debrief' Shiraz

The Debrief didn’t start in a vineyard—it started somewhere high above it.

Midway through flying a helicopter from England to Australia, crossing continents and chasing horizons, Will had a thought that stuck: why not make our own wine? By the time he landed back on home soil, the idea had legs.

Will brought the wild idea. Billie brought the grapes—and a knowledge of what to do with them.

Back in the heart of the Barossa Valley, on the Kies family property in Hoffnungsthal, Lyndoch (established in the 1860s), that idea turned into something real. These are the same soils that have been worked for generations—raising cattle, growing crops, and producing quality fruit year after year. Every grape for The Debrief  was machine-harvested by Billie and her crew, straight from the family vineyard, making this a true estate-grown Barossa Valley Shiraz.

The name came easy. Because no matter where the day takes us—up in the air, out in the paddock, or chasing jobs across the country—it always ends the same way: boots kicked off, a glass poured, and a proper debrief.

Matured in French oak for 22 months, this is everything a traditional Barossa Shiraz should be—big, bold, and full of flavour. Think rich dark fruit, a solid backbone, and just the right amount of edge. It’s built to drink now, or to tuck away and cellar for up to 10 years if you’ve got the patience.

But truth be told, we reckon it’s best opened sooner rather than later.

This isn’t a wine for sitting on a shelf. It’s made for real moments—paired with premium Barossa beef, a hot BBQ, and a crew worth sharing it with. It’s the kind of red that brings people together, sparks a few good stories, and usually ends with someone saying, “righto… one more.”

Because at the end of the day, that’s what The Debrief is all about.
