Farm Raised – Family Owned – Barossa Proud
from our paddock – to your plate!

At Barossa Valley Meat, we’re not just selling beef—we’re sharing a piece of our family, our land, and the Barossa way of life.

Unlike supermarket meat that often travels long distances and comes from unknown sources, our beef is born, raised, and finished right here in the Barossa Valley. We know every step of the journey—because we’re part of it.

Our Black Angus and Murray Grey cattle are raised on our family farm, alongside a small number of trusted local suppliers who share our values. Our animals roam freely on open pastures, living in a calm, natural environment with plenty of space to graze, grow, and thrive.

Animal welfare isn’t just important to us—it’s everything.
Our cattle are hormone-free, handled with care, and raised in a low-stress environment. The result? Beef that is not only better for you, but also richer in flavour, tenderness, and quality.

From birth, our calves stay with their mothers for the first five months—just as nature intended. When it’s time to wean, we take a gentle, considered approach using our purpose-built yards, where their mothers can still come and visit (without feeding them). They’re then nourished for 21 days with hay grown on our farm and specific grain and minerals for the purpose of improving gut health and natural growth.  We work closely with our Ruminant Nutritionist and advisor from Elders Livestock for the best up to date information on health and nutrition.

After weaning, they return to pasture—free to graze and grow at their own pace. Their final months are spent doing what they do best: living a good life in open paddocks overlooking the Barossa Ranges.
